What is the average you think I should pay? (No traffic violations in the last x amt of years, not since 98, fyi)
Also, do you think its worth it for more fuller coverage if I’m going to actually own the car outright and not make payments? Is it worth it to select the rental insurance as one of the options? I don’t know anything about what I should get, any help is appareciated!

It doesent just depend on your driving record it also depends on your make and model of car. Of course convertibles are more money to insure, and if your young 25 and under your gonna pay more also. And one last thing it also depends on the area you live in. thier are so many factors it’s just the way for insurance companies to bleed every penny out of the consumer.
What is a fair price to pay for insurance? What you’re willing to pay and what you can afford. Answer your own question….if you wreck your car for whatever reason and it’s not driveable, totaled, or being repaired–do you have another vehicle to drive while yours is being fixed? If you don’t then get the rental reimbursement option. Same scenario, but let’s say your car is totaled…do you have cash on hand to buy another? If not, then purchase comprehensive and collision with deductibles YOU can afford to pay should you have a claim.
If you don’t know what to buy, call an independent agent. They will be able to quote Progressive for you if they have a contract with them. If you still want to buy online, take the information they told you & get a quote online & buy that way. But, if you buy insurance without information, it can bite you in the butt come claim time.
