I’m looking for a cheap holiday to Ayia Napa at the end of August, does anyone know the best websites or what the cost might be? I don’t mind waiting to book the day before - would this help?
I dont’ know about the cheap holiday in it coz i’ve just got back from there and i can tell you it cost me a fortune! The hotel i stayed at was Takkas Hotel and Apartments and although it was near the bars and clubs, it wasn’t the nicest or the cleanest and i paid £440 for it. Make sure you get a hotel that has air con all around (trust me you will need it big time!!!) Alot of the hotels require a deposit for use of the control or you pay for each hour that you use it in others.
There was 10 of us in total with 3 different hotels and the best one for the closeness of the clubs would be Tsokkos but the nicest was electra village with was closest to the beach but a 30 min walk to the clubs and in the heat we couldn’t handle it.If any of you can drive i would recommend you rent a moped or a buggy as it’s the quickest to get around (be very careful as everyone drives like a looney out there, my mate had an accident but there are cabs around every corner and regardless of where you go they charge about £5 cypriot which is about £7-8 here. Tickets to the clubs are £10 and over and drinks are form £4 but if there’s anyone famous or popular there (westwood was there the week i went) the drinks go up by £2! First Choice would probably be your best, cheapest and safest bet for cost effective but olympic can be ok aswell (just check all hotels before you settle for one)
All in all a wicked holiday but an expensive one at that you don’t even know you’re spending it!
Hope i’ve given you everything you need to know - have a fab time - you’ll never sleep!
